The Lie of Apartheid

The lie of apartheid is that the oppressors are safe, secure, and free. As Simone de Beauvoir told us, in The Ethics of Ambiguity as well as various political writings, freedom is not manifest in any oppressive situation. The binary — the boundary — is an illusion.

October 7th is case in point. Z*onists and other Israel-apologists and those complicit with the genocide of Palestinians continue to cite October 7th as a starting point, as well as a justification, for the ruthless genocide of Palestinians and the complete eradication of what little remains of Palestine. This so-called origin point is a necessary fabrication for them. The facts, however, expose this logic as egregiously ahistorical. There is no justification for genocide, and the conflict did not start on October 7th.

Israelis are not free in living in the apartheid state, either. The Israeli government’s desire to eradicate Palestinians to establish a pure ethnostate limits the freedom of everyone — all semitic people from the entire region. (Shall we even discuss how ethnostates are not democratic?)

Apartheid must end to truly liberate all people.
